Distinguished Foreign Experts, Ladies and Gentlemen,
Gathering together under the same roof with the foreign experts who work in Hunan province, today we ceremoniously hold the 3rd  “Xiaoxiang Friendship Award” and the “National Day Reception” as well. Now, on behalf of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government and 67 million Hunan people, I’d like to present my warm congratulations to the 15 foreign experts who have won Xiaoxiang Friendship Award, and my great thanks to all the foreign experts who devote themselves to the development of our province and who enhance the communication between Hunan and other countries.
Last five years were a period in which Hunan’s comprehensive strength has been promoted greatly, city and county visage has been changed fleetly, people has been benefited tremendously, economy and society have been developed rapidly. Hunan people has creatively tried every means and successfully completed the Tenth Five-Year Development Plan, which lead the economy and society to rapidly, well-structured and efficient developments. All these achievements we got have been closely connected with the sincere co-operation and selfless help of the foreign experts who work in Hunan. In recent years, there are more than 2000 foreign experts each year who have worked for our industry, agriculture, education, science and technology, national culture, medical service and so on. These foreign experts as presenting here today not only have brought the advanced technologies and managements to Hunan, but also made contributions for Hunan’s going towards the world, your sincere co-operation and selfless work have won  the hearts of Hunan people. All the Hunan people thank you so much!
In the next five yeas, Hunan will enter into a new development era. We will continuously and firmly stick to the strategies of “opening to outside world” and going more deeply into the international society to develop Hunan’s economy and society healthily and rapidly. It is our sincere hope that every expert here can continue your appreciated work for Hunan’s growth, and welcome more foreign experts to come to Hunan to work with Hunan people for a bright and beautiful future.
